The Sergeant and Maritime Academy, FrederikshavnFacilities to train and retrain personnel in the offshore sector
The Sergeant and Maritime Academy in Frederikshavn is the center for hundreds of young aspirants that enroll in recognized courses within Defence Command Denmark each year.
At the Sergeant Academy in Frederikshavn, there are facilities to train and retrain personnel in the offshore sector.
The physical part of the training is carried out in the Sergeant Academy’s purpose-built indoor swimming area where it is possible to simulate waves, fog, lightning and rain – for example, to simulate an emergency situation for the aspirants and personnel retraining within the Navy sector.
LITE was contacted because The Sergeant and Maritime Academy wanted to replace the lighting in the purpose-built indoor swimming area.
A better and more energy efficient solution was required, and it was not possible to compromise on the high standard for the lighting levels.
Between the decision-makers, the users and the installation company, it was agreed to choose the TITAN-fitting from LITE.
TITAN is a very robust and waterproof fitting, which, in addition to providing excellent lighting, is also extremely easy to install. Especially, the installation phase was important to the customer, as it was part of the total investment cost.
The project was carried out in three days to the great satisfaction of the customer (Defence Command Denmark).
“We are very positive towards our new lighting system. We feel that we have received what we were promised from the very first meeting. The lighting system meets all our needs.”
