Vendsyssel Sports Centre

Vendsyssel Sports Centre in Vrå previously replaced the indoor lighting in their two sports halls, café, gym and a number of conference rooms with innovative LED lighting from LITE A/S. The LED lighting is far more energy and environmentally friendly than the Centre’s previous lighting, so they have made significant annual savings.

So it was not a difficult decision, when they needed new lighting for the new outdoor artificial turf pitch. The artificial turf pitch is used both by Vendsyssel FF and AAB’s premier league team in the winter. For the Centre, it was essential to have the same LUX illumination (light strength) as the old lighting. They also wanted the facility to have an ultra modern, innovative look, signalling that this is a centre in a state of development.

The electrician installed 12 Area Pro lamps, 400W in 6 x 18-metre masters. The LED Lamp was converted from 2000W T- Son lamps, and provides a clear, accurate light on the pitch, which benefits the players and the other users of the pitch.

This has led to major savings in the operating budget, since the lamps require minimal maintenance in terms of replacement etc., which means there are no unforeseen electrical bills.
