As we are constantly monitoring the developments within our CSR responsibilities this policy will be updated on a regular basis.
Our vision is clear
LITE aim to benefit our environment and to safeguard the future with more innovative, environmentally friendly lighting products. Sustainability is a common task, that a single participant cannot accomplish - this is why we encourage others to take part in it!
Our CSR Policy contains topics regarding; working environment at LITE, our social responsibility, environmental issues regarding sustainable lighting solutions as well as packaging and freight. Whereas our Impact Policy contains of a numbers of questions to our suppliers, to ensure that they have ethical guidelines when it comes to both social and environmental issues.
Our work with UN's 17 World Goals
We make World Goals to Everyday GoalsThe UN World Goals was adopted in 2015 at a general meeting. The World Goals (Sustainable Developement Goals) consists of 17 concrete goals and 169 sub-goals, where focus set course towards a more sustainable developement.
The work with the World Goals is an ongoing process, and the goal of these is, like the CSR policy, to run companies in a socially responsible manner. LITE recognizes the UN's World Goals and focuses our efforts on the following 3 goals:
Goal 3 - Good health and well being: With the correct lighting, light can have a significant impact on human and its psyche. Through light calculations and light design, we help to optimize the indoor climate, and thus the well-being in learning and working environments.
Goal 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production: Through our circular economy strategy we have a dedicated focus on innovation to ensure a continued optimization of recycling of our products and to minimize the waste.
Goal 13 - Climate Acton: In the fight against global warming, we will do our part through recycling, products and production to reduce waste and resources.
